Equipment & Capabilities
Our advanced machining and fabrication equipment allows Stampede Die & Engineering to deliver precision, consistency, and performance across every project. With both large-scale and fine-detail capabilities, we’re equipped to meet the demands of industries that rely on accuracy and reliability.
Precision Equipment. Proven Performance.
At Stampede Die & Engineering, we invest heavily in advanced machining technology to ensure the precision, flexibility, and reliability our customers expect. Our facilities are equipped to handle everything from small, intricate parts to massive tools and dies—offering true end-to-end capability under one roof. From multi-axis CNC machining to heavy-duty lifting and in-house design, every project benefits from efficiency, accuracy, and attention to detail.
In addition to our extensive machining capabilities, Stampede operates a full range of equipment and specialized departments to support every stage of production. Our facilities feature small, medium, and large bridge mills in both vertical and horizontal configurations, along with boring mills, gundrill machines, and true 5-axis CNC systems for complex geometries. A dedicated CNC lathe department delivers precision turning for parts of all sizes, while our in-house welding and trucking departments streamline logistics and assembly. To complete the process, our design team utilizes Siemens NX 9.0 software to engineer precise tooling and component designs—from concept to completion.
Production & Prototype Tooling Capabilities
Vertical 3-Axis Machining Centers
Featuring industry-leading brands such as Haas, Makino, OKK, Awea, Vtec, and YCM, our 3-axis machining centers deliver exceptional precision for a wide range of part sizes. Machine travels range from 20″ x 40″ up to 120″ x 240″, allowing for both detailed and large-scale component work.
Vertical 5-Axis Machining Centers
Equipped with Haas, Ken CNC, Fooke, Hermle, and Promac systems, our 5-axis machines handle complex geometries with superior accuracy and finish. Travel capacities range from 20″ x 20″ to 87″ x 140″, enabling high-precision machining for aerospace, defense, and advanced tooling applications.
Horizontal Boring Mills
Our G&L, Gilbert, Toshiba, and Fives horizontal boring mills accommodate large and heavy components with machine travels from 92″ x 150″ up to 156″ x 382″. These machines provide the strength and precision needed for deep cavity and large-format machining projects.
EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining)
Makino sinker and wire EDM machines enable high-accuracy cutting on hardened materials and intricate profiles. EDM sinkers provide 24″ x 60″ travel, while wire EDM machines offer 16″ x 24″ travel—ideal for fine-detail and tight-tolerance applications.
Gundrill Machines
With Taurus gundrill machines capable of 48″ x 104″ travel, Stampede delivers precision deep-hole drilling for cooling channels, ejector pin holes, and other complex features.
Turning Centers – Tailstock Machines
Our Mazak turning centers handle diameters ranging from 13″ x 22″ to 27″ x 170″, providing stability and accuracy for long-part turning and large-diameter work.
Turning Centers – Sub-Spindle, Live Tool, Multi-Axis
Mazak multi-axis machines combine turning, milling, and drilling in a single setup to maximize precision and minimize lead times. Machine travels range from 13″ diameter x 22″ to 25″ diameter x 42″.
Overhead Lifting Capacity
Our facilities are equipped with up to 100 tons of overhead lifting capacity, allowing safe handling of large tools, molds, and components throughout every stage of production.
