Stampede Die & Engineering Expands Compression Mold Capacity for Large Acoustic Tooling Applications
Wayland, MI — Stampede Die & Engineering, a division of Stampede Die Corp, has expanded its compression mold manufacturing capacity to support growing demand for large acoustic tooling and compression mold applications. This investment strengthens the company’s position as a trusted U.S.-based supplier for complex, heavy tooling programs across automotive, aerospace, and industrial markets.
With crane capacity up to 200,000 pounds and in-house gun drilling and 5-axis machining capabilities, Stampede Die & Engineering is uniquely equipped to handle large-format compression molds and related fixtures from design through final inspection. The company’s team of experienced mold makers and machinists leverages advanced CAD/CAM software and precision CNC machining centers to deliver tooling that meets tight tolerances and demanding production environments.
“We’ve seen steady growth in acoustic and composite mold projects,” said a Stampede spokesperson. “Customers are looking for partners who can handle the size, complexity, and precision these tools require — and that’s exactly where we excel.”
The expansion also reflects Stampede Die & Engineering’s continued commitment to U.S.-based manufacturing and responsive lead times. By increasing internal capacity and optimizing workflow, the company can take on larger projects while maintaining the craftsmanship and attention to detail that have defined Stampede for decades.
In addition to compression molds, the facility designs and builds plastic injection molds, die cast molds, and associated fixtures, and provides repair and refurbishment services for existing tooling.
